Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has approved the Knowledge City South plan in Projects and Works Committee meeting held on Monday.
The knowledge city will set up 48 educational institutions on 1,784 bighas in Chittora village about 25-kms from Jaipur airport.
Under the project, five universities, six information technology colleges, 14 medical colleges and research institutes, one international library, 12 other technical institutions, 10 higher education institutes and a hostel will be developed. The authority will also provide other infrastructures in knowledge city like convention centre, residential colonies, hospitals, sports facilities, commercial outlets, hotel, fuel station, community parks, roads and plantation belt too.
